Busybodies Toddler Group
Busybodies Toddler Group meet in the UMC Halls every Wednesday morning from 10am to 12 noon.
We are a friendly mix of parents, carers and grandparents so drop in anytime to have a drink or a play and we will be very pleased to welcome you.
Facilities
We have a pram park and then a separate large room for play including:
- Home corner with kitchen, ironing board and hoovers, baby dolls and puschchairs
- Physical play area with slide, tunnels and play tent for older toddlers
- Dressing up clothes
- Road and rail
- Small construction
- Craft - paper and pens or play-doh every week with themed craft on special occasions
- Separate safe baby area with baby bouncers, play gyms and a baby nest
Highchairs and toddler sized chairs for snack time
Baby changing facilities, potty and toddler toilet seat
Lending library of toddler books to take home free of charge
Local information - there is a folder on the signing in table with information on other local activities for families.
Session plan
We try to be a relaxed group so that people feel free to drop in any time. However, the limits of space and time mean that we tend to stick to the following structure.
10.00 am Arrive, play, chat, drink and craft
11.00 am Snack time
11.30 am Song time
Cost
We suggest a contribution of £1 per family. All funds are spent on the group - providing healthy snacks and craft materials and cleaning and maintaining our toys. Don't worry if you come without your money - it is you we want to see, not your money!
