Junior Church is for children and young people aged 4 to 18.  We meet in the UMC Halls during the 11am Sunday service.

1st Sunday of the month - meet at 10.45am in the UMC Halls allowing parents time to walk across to St. Andrew's for the start of the 11am service.  The young people from Junior and Youth Church join the latter part of this service.   

2nd, 3rd, and 5th Sundays - meet in church at 11am and stay for the first 15 minutes of the main service and then the children and leaders walk across to the UMC halls. 

The 4th Sunday every month is an All Age Worship service.  The children and young people prepare for and take part in this service and there is no separate Junior Church on that Sunday.  

 

Monthly themes

In Junior Church we follow a theme for each month.  

The theme for August and September 2010 was 'Stained Glass'.  In August the children learned about the stories in the windows in St. Andrew's Church.  In September they learned more about how to shine with the light of Jesus and made their own stained glass panels.  These have now been added to one of the previously plain windows in St. Andrew's for all to share.
